Bonduelle, Herta, Lesaffre, Blédina, Materne, Coca-Cola… Since the start of the year, hardly a month has gone by without an agro-food player announcing a major industrial project in the Hexagon.
France has always been a natural land for agro-industrialists: 80% of the products consumed are manufactured in the country, according to the federation of the sector (Ania).
But one region has stood out for some time: Hauts-de-France.
For years, these lands have been more talked about with explosive industrial files (Goodyear and Whirlpool in Amiens, Continental in Clairoix, Ascoval in Saint-Saulve, Bridgestone in Béthune), than by massive job creation.

The region, born out of the 2016 merger of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Picardy, is attracting more and more large-scale projects in agriculture and agri-food, such as that of the pasta company Cerelia pie.
