"

We are going to conduct negotiations with the social partners to make teleworking a mode of organization which is also a tool to change managerial practices

" and to improve "

the confidence

" of the agents, declared on CNews on Tuesday the Minister of Transformation and Public Service, Amélie de Montchalin.

A "

preparatory working group for the opening of a negotiation

" will meet on February 3, before the latter really opens in the first week of March with the objective of "

finalizing it at the end of spring

", the minister's office told AFP.

The scope of the negotiations will initially be limited to the State Civil Service (FPE), one of the three sides of the civil service.

At the end of 2019, France had 5.66 million public officials, including 2.5 million in the FPE, according to figures from INSEE.

Currently, because of the health crisis, "

45% of state employees, excluding teachers,

" are teleworking, said Amélie de Montchalin on CNews.
