American consumer confidence eroded further in December due to an endless Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Conference Board index released on Tuesday. The Conference Board index fell to 88.6 points in December (-4.3 points), well below the expectations of analysts who expected 96.5. Data for November have also been revised downward.
