But this Wednesday morning, a meeting was held between representatives of the Force Ouvrière union, employers, the Marseille Provence metropolis, the Direccte (labor inspection) and the Council of the territories.

The strikers, supported by FO, finally obtained a positive response to their demands, reports France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

Two leaders put on leave

These employees, who denounced "the harassment" of the local management of Polyceo, demanded "the transfers" of the director of the site as well as his deputy.

They also demanded the hiring of a temporary employee recently canceled.

The agreement reached on Wednesday provides for the leave until mid-January of the two leaders at the heart of the dispute, as well as an audit.

The interim will be provided by Emmanuel Brun, Managing Director of Poly-environnement, Polyceo's parent company.

FO also obtained the recruitment of an interim agent, the erasure of all disciplinary files, an increase of 50% of overtime until the end of the collection of garbage accumulated during the strike, as well as the spread of days strike over six months, welcomed the union.

"A good consensus"

"The aim of the strike was successful: the local management will be moved," confirmed to the newspaper Provence Lionel Martini, FO delegate of Polyceo.

We're not the type to talk about winning, but we're happy that the situation is over.

"" It is a good consensus that was found, but ten days late, "said Patrick Rué, FO secretary of the territorial agents of the city and the metropolis.

The agreement came just before a hearing before the administrative court of Marseille, FO suing the requisition order taken by the Bouches-du-Rhône police headquarters on Monday.

A few dump trucks under police escort had resumed service on Monday evening.

The cleaning of the accumulated garbage should take between three and seven days, notes France Bleu.

The Aix-Marseille Metropolis will make dump trucks available for collection, because the equipment of the Derichebourg company was vandalized during the night from Monday to Tuesday.
