Telefonica sells its telecommunications towers in Europe and Latin America for 7.7 billion euros

The Spanish group Telefonica announced Wednesday the sale for 7.7 billion euros of its subsidiary of Telxius telecommunications towers in Europe and Latin America to the American Tower Corporation. The Spanish group Telefonica announced Wednesday the sale for 7.7 billion euros of its subsidiary of Telxius telecommunications towers in Europe and Latin America to the American Tower Corporation.

The operation concerns 31,000 locations in Spain, Germany, Brazil, Peru, Chile and Argentina and will bring in a capital gain of 3.5 billion euros for the group, explains Telefonica in a press release.
