A little over twenty years ago, in 1998, Cdiscount was born to sell CDs online.
Ten years ago, the e-merchant opened its platform, like Amazon, to third-party sellers.
Today, the Casino subsidiary is launching a new service for businesses, which it considers to be just as structuring for the years to come as the launch of its market place.
With its know-how in managing this platform, which brings together 13,000 sellers and 100 million products, Cdiscount will offer merchants a turnkey marketplace offer.
The innovation consists in offering not only the technological brick, but also a whole catalog of salespeople and logistics services, which are already used today by 2,500 salespeople.
"When you have the technology, you've only come a third of the way"
, explains Emmanuel Grenier, CEO of Cdiscount.
The project is key in terms of both growth and profitability.
