The jeprotegemonenfant.gouv.fr site is aimed at parents of children from 6 years of age "

likely to be exposed to pornographic content voluntarily or involuntarily

", and offers them in particular "

sexuality education content to free the word between parents and children

”, explained the offices of Adrien Taquet and Cédric O, Secretaries of State respectively in charge of Children and Families and Digital.

The site will be unveiled on Tuesday on the occasion of "

International Day for a safer Internet

" ( "

Safer Internet Day

").

It will be accompanied by a communication campaign on social networks and on certain websites.

A third of young people have seen porn before age 12

In this video spot, a little girl asks her parents "

how do we make babies?"

".

But to the dismay of the parents, it is his big brother, aged 10 or 11, who answers him: “

Well it's simple!

The woman is on all fours.

The man pulls her hair, and she screams very loudly

”.

According to a 2018 survey, almost a third of young people have seen porn before age 12, over 60% before age 15 and 82% before age 18.

And such early exposure has consequences: more than half of minors admit to having been “

shocked

” the first time they were confronted with pornographic content.

In addition, 44% of teens who have ever had sex say they have tried to reproduce practices they have seen in porn movies, and almost a quarter say they are self-conscious about porn.

In collaboration with the CSA

"

Parents are not aware that their children, so young and so massive, can access this type of content so easily

", told AFP Adrien Taquet, for whom the challenge is to "

raise awareness among parents, to offer them technical tools and solutions, but without making them feel guilty

”.

They need help on these issues because some feel helpless,

” he added.
