A young British woman was hired, and when she told the company that she was tattooed to the neck, she was rejected.

She wrote a post against discrimination, and the company offered her the job back.

Shepherd, 32, of Swansea, UK, covered in tattoos from head to toe, was accepted into what she herself described as a "dream job".

She was excited to hear that she had passed the final interview, and then read the fine print.

"I saw that the company's policy was 'no eye tattoos' and I decided to call after half an hour and update them that I had some. They said they could not employ me. I had a job for 30 minutes."

Shepherd decided to tell about the case on Facebook.

"In my opinion, tattoos are not supposed to affect the work you do, your health or your abilities. It's a painting or a picture on the body, that's all. I would mention in my past and it has never affected."

She also noted that in her opinion the policy of “no tattoos” is problematic given the amount of people tattooed nowadays.

Shepherd's status went viral far beyond her expectations.

So viral that DEE-SET, the

one that rejected it, called and checked if she would like to get the job anyway.

She refused.

The company said: "Our thinking is progressive and liberal, we believe in equal opportunities and recognize the mistake made during the recruitment."
