The dollar fell to its lowest level in three years.
Reuters reported that the US dollar fell to new lows against the Australian and Canadian dollars and stood near low levels recorded overnight against the British and New Zealand currencies.
The Australian dollar recorded 0,79672 US dollars, while the Canadian dollar reached its highest level in three years in trading, at 1.2502 per US dollar.
The New Zealand dollar registered 0,732 dollars, while the pound sterling rose 0.1 percent to 4.161 dollars.
