The UK economy is expected to grow 4% in 2021 and then return to its pre-pandemic level in mid-2022, Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said on Wednesday, unveiling his budget.

This growth forecast for 2021 is less optimistic than that of last November (+ 5.5%), due to the new containment put in place since January.
GDP fell nearly 10% in 2020, the worst performance in 300 years, Sunak reminded the House of Commons.
