Corona vacation on Sylt - opening concept: One test result, please!

Easter is approaching - and with it the hope of a vacation on the North Sea. On Sylt, island mayor Nicolas Häckel wants to ensure safety with the help of corona tests and an app. What can guests expect?

Nicolas Häckel

, 46, born on Sylt, has been mayor (independent) of the municipality of Sylt, one of five on the North Sea island, and head of the island administration since 2015.

Sylt has about 13,700 inhabitants, in the year before the corona crisis, in 2019, 618,000 visitors came.

Hotels and restaurants have been closed since November 2nd.

In the district of North Friesland, the seven-day incidence on March 5 was 40.4 and thus below the nationwide value of 69.5.
