Good news to prepare for his Easter holidays: the SNCF announced Monday, March 1 that it was extending until May 9 the reimbursement and exchange of long-distance train tickets free of charge up to three days before departure.
SNCF had implemented this measure on April 30, 2020, in response to uncertainties about non-essential travel related to the Covid-19 health crisis.
It continues to adapt its offer according to government announcements and travel restrictions linked to the crisis.

Users will therefore be able to be reimbursed and exchange their train tickets free of charge up to three days before departure for all TGV inOui, Ouigo, Intercités, certain international TGV tickets and TER connecting long-distance trains.
After this period, the usual refund and exchange rules apply.
The reimbursement procedures are specific to each type of train and available on the SNCF website.
SNCF also recalls the possibility of traveling by train during curfew hours as well as during weekends in the departments affected by confinement.
The train ticket and the exceptional travel certificate can then be used as proof.
SNCF is committed to the health safety of its users by enforcing the wearing of compulsory masks, by providing travelers with facilities to wash their hands regularly, and by reinforcing the cleaning of trains.
