The price of a gram of gold in the local markets today increased by about 8 thousand Syrians from yesterday's price, with the global price of an ounce increasing.
The Artisanal Association for Crafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus indicated that the price of a gram of 21 carat gold was recorded at 190 thousand pounds for sale and the purchase price was 189,500 pounds, while the price of a gram of 18 carat sold reached 162857 thousand pounds and the purchase price was 162357 pounds.
The price of the 21 gram decreased last Thursday from 194 thousand pounds to 182 thousand pounds, ie 12 thousand pounds, and it remained constant at this price until Monday.
The association asked the craftsmen to adhere to the quotation issued by it, indicating that selling at a price higher than the specified price is a violation that exposes the perpetrator to legal violations and closing the shop.
