Companies that have concluded clearance plans to pay their social contributions will be granted partial discounts for the period from February 1 to May 31, 2020, if they have lost at least half of their turnover, according to a decree. published Friday in the Official Journal.

The level of the discount granted to these companies in difficulty ranges from 20% of sums due for those having lost between 50% and 60% of their turnover to 50% of discount for those which have lost at least 80%, according to the decree.
For self-employed workers, the discount is a lump sum and ranges from 300 euros for a loss of turnover of between 50% and 60%, and up to 900 euros for a loss at least equal to 80%.
The companies and self-employed workers concerned must be up to date with their social declarations, attest to economic difficulties and have requested a staggered repayment of their debts to private creditors, if they have contracted any.
Contribution debts clearance plans, put in place by the tax administration to help struggling businesses get through the crisis, can last for up to three years.
