A witness to the standoff that has pitted Eramet's two main shareholders in recent weeks thus sums up the modus vivendi validated on Tuesday by the board of directors.
If the Duval family (37% of the capital) could not obtain the head of the CEO Christel Bories, the State (26%) granted him compensation, starting with the appointment of a lead director that it has selected.

The Duvals have long used to have free rein at Eramet since their entry into the capital of the former public company.
In 1999, they had recovered a third of its capital in exchange for the absorption of the family business founded by Jean Duval.
Starting at the start of the 20th century from a small hardware store in the République district of Paris, this entrepreneur had built Aubert & Duval, a metallurgy nugget, now a supplier to the aeronautical industry, and which today has customers prestigious such as Airbus.
