The government announced the
renewal of the
Now 12
program
until July 31
.
And as reported by the Secretary of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Development, the same categories and products will be maintained, but the initiative generates three major changes.
This was indicated this Wednesday by the agency led by Paula Español through a statement, where she noted that
"in this new stage, the program maintains the same categories and products in force to finance in installments"
What are the changes that were introduced:
there will be no more 3 months of grace

will no longer have the option of 12 installments and only 3 or 6 will be allowed.
Anyway, the main modification of this edition is that the
"extra"
impulse
to the consumption of the three months of grace to start paying the first installment will no longer exist.
"The objective of the Now 12 program is to promote national consumption and production through the most convenient financing conditions
, to facilitate access to the products and services achieved," said the Secretariat.
In clothing items;
footwear and leather goods;
machines and tools;
perfumery;
and small appliances,
the financing plans of 3 and 6 installments will be available.
With Now 12 you can buy white goods;
dress;
footwear and leather goods;
construction materials and tools;
furniture;
bikes;
mattresses;
books;
library items;
glasses and contact lenses;
board games and toys;
tires, accessories and conversion kit for CNG gas vehicles and spare parts.
Also musical instruments;
computers, notebooks and tablets;
Illumination artifacts;
televisions;
perfumery;
small household appliances;
sports preparation services;
medical equipament;
machines and tools.
Likewise, tourism services can be paid in installments;
home electronics and appliance technicians;
those of personal care;
those of organization of events and commercial exhibitions;
those of alarm installation;
and spas.
In addition, Commerce Interior highlighted that
"with the aim of continuing to expand the possibilities of training and well-being of the population
, while boosting demand in sectors that were badly hit by the pandemic, the program maintains financing for educational services, gyms and repair shops for motor vehicles and motorcycles ”.
Regarding the
maximum discount rates
that bank issuers can apply to commerce, to be charged within 10 business days of the sale for each financing plan, they
were 3.1% for 3 installments;
6.01% for 6;
11.48% for 12;
and 16.52% for 18 payments
.
Now 12 provides that all products and services can be
purchased online and in affiliated stores
throughout the country, identified by the program's poster on their windows, seven days a week, with all bank cards with the that the trade is attached.
Between January and February 2021, Now 12 reached transactions for $ 107,738 million in more than 9.7 million operations, which implied a year-on-year growth of 26%.
The items that top the ranking according to their billing are: white line, with 24% of the total amount;
clothing, with 23%;

In addition, throughout 2020, the program's billing was $ 572,807 million, with a total of more than 56 million operations performed.
