Chef Philippe Etchebest, stepped up to the plate a year ago brandishing the specter of a 40% closure of bars and restaurants if nothing was done, has stopped his calls for help.
Some do not want to recognize it publicly: the support from the government (PGE, partial unemployment, exemptions from charges, solidarity fund…) is such that their finances are holding up well.
Whether they are open for take-out and delivery, or even closed, this aid system keeps them afloat.
