It is with this enthusiastic message that Elon Musk announced on Twitter, a little before midnight, Wednesday, May 5, the successful landing of the Starship spacecraft, on the Texas base of Boca Chica.
The founding CEO of SpaceX has a lot to cheer about.
This is the first time in the history of the space industry that a heavy launcher has managed to fly and then return to land smoothly on Earth.
A feat that opens a new page in the conquest of space.
And a tribute to the pioneers.
This May 5, 2021, the United States celebrated the 60th anniversary of the first American in space, Alan Shepard, who made a first suborbital flight, on May 5, 1961.
