The price of a gram of 21 carat gold in the local market today increased by 3 thousand Syrian pounds compared to its price last week, affected by the increase in the global price of an ounce of gold, which recorded 1852 dollars.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus today, the 21-carat gram of gold recorded the selling price of 156,000 Syrian pounds and the purchase price of 155,500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram reached the selling price of 133714 pounds and the purchase price of 133214 pounds.
The association asked the craftsmen to adhere to the price it issued, and also called on citizens wishing to buy gold not to pay for it except in accordance with the bulletin issued by the association. It also distributed telephone numbers for complaints 2230766 and 2248005.
