Closure of exports and unemployment
On Monday, the government decided to close meat exports for 30 days as a result of the constant rise in prices in the sector.
In that period, a set of emergency measures will be implemented to order the operation of the sector, restrict speculative practices, improve the traceability of exports and avoid tax evasion in foreign trade, the Casa Rosada detailed in a statement.
Meat prices have risen 65% in recent months.

Speaking to

It was ratified by Jorge Chemes (Cra), Carlos Iannizzotto (Coninagro), Daniel Pelegrina (Rural Society) and Carlos Achetoni (Agrarian Federation).
"The closure of meat exports for 30 days is a mistake and a step backwards in every sense. It will cause irreparable damage to a productive sector that has shown that it generates employment and activity throughout the national territory," said Pelegrina, president of the Rural Society.
