Retail stores specializing in clothing, footwear, sports, leather goods and travel items, forced to close since last November due to the second lockdown, will receive additional financial assistance.
The objective: to compensate for losses linked to unsold stocks.
This aid will be paid to them by the General Directorate of Public Finances (DGFIP) from this Tuesday 25 May.
It "is
aimed at companies with less than 50 employees and less than 1 million euros in turnover
," recalled Alain Griset, the Minister for SMEs on France 2 on Tuesday morning.
According to the decree published on May 16 in the Official Journal, this support must correspond to 80% of the amount received by these companies under the solidarity fund in November 2020. This represents “a
maximum of 8,000 euros
”, specified Alain Griset. Knowing that this amount was on average 7,600 euros, this additional aid should therefore represent, on average, 6,000 euros per business concerned.
