The price of a kilo of slaughtered and cleaned chicken in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside decreased between 500 and 600 Syrian pounds, while in the governorates of the coastal and northern regions, it decreased between 600 and 700 pounds, according to the Director of Consumer Protection at the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Walid Al-Ayesh, who indicated that the decline continues.
Regarding the reasons for the decline, Al-Ayesh explained in a statement to SANA’s representative that it is the result of the intensive control over the markets and the regular issuance of price bulletins by the directorates of internal trade and consumer protection in each governorate, and the situation in poultry houses at this time due to high temperatures and the lack of fuel use for heating, pointing out that the low price of chicken kilo Slaughtered and cleaned animals will naturally lead to a decrease in the prices of its parts. In Damascus and its countryside, the decrease per kilogram ranged between 400 and 1000 Syrian pounds, while the northern and coastal governorates ranged from 800 to 1200 pounds.
The bulletin of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection issued today recorded the prices of broilers and their parts in the Damascus markets: a kilo of live broiler 4000 Syrian pounds, slaughtered and cleaned without a head and lung 5500 pounds, slaughtered and wrapped in a stun method 5600 pounds, a kilo of cutlets without bone 9000 pounds, and a kilo of a pin 5700 pounds, A kilo of roses is 6000 pounds, a kilo of dress is 6300 pounds, a kilo of wings is 4200 pounds, a sowda is 8000 pounds, and a gizzard is 1,700 pounds.
The prices of grilled chicken, according to the bulletin, amounted to 14,500 pounds, broasted 15,500 pounds, and pulled chickens 16,000 pounds.
