GE Aviation and Safran launch the clean engine race


The French engine manufacturer and its American counterpart are extending their alliance for ten years, until 2050.

Write a new page in the history of aeronautics and a new chapter in their alliance, while outstripping the competition, by being the first to launch a clean engine.

These are the ambitious objectives of French Safran and its American counterpart GE Aviation.

Before Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney, the two groups announced, Monday, June 14, that they are jointly embarking on the race towards the zero emission engine.

First step announced yesterday, the launch of a technological development program for a new generation of reactors to succeed the Leap engines, which equip the Chinese Airbus A320neo, Boeing 737 Max and Comac C 919.
