The Tübingen-based company Curevac suffered massive price losses on the stock exchange after poor interim results on the effectiveness of its corona vaccine.
On Thursday morning, Curevac shares were almost 50 percent in the red.
On Wednesday evening, Curecvac announced in a mandatory stock market announcement that its own vaccine candidate CVnCoV had only achieved a preliminary effectiveness of 47 percent against corona disease of "any degree of severity" in an interim analysis.
In doing so, he did not meet the specified statistical success criteria.
