Iran recorded a remarkable growth in the production of domestic cars during the first quarter of this year.
Al-Alam TV reported that data from the Iranian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Minerals showed a growth in car production by 8.8 percent in the first two months of the fiscal year between March 21 and May 20, 2021.
The ministry stated that Iran has succeeded in producing 127,700 saloon cars, with a growth of 8.8 percent, in addition to 9,477 pickup cars, an increase of 12.9 percent over the previous corresponding period, and 215 large and small buses and vans were produced, as well as 956 trucks.
