This is the name given by Renault to its three industrial sites in Hauts-de-France: Douai, Maubeuge and Ruitz.
The strategy is clear: to make the region the electrical heart of the group.
To achieve this, we must first increase the supply.
This will be done by 2025 with the launch of eight new electric vehicles, all manufactured on site.
The ambitions are colossal: 400,000 sales of electric vehicles by this time.
"We plan to manufacture 700,000 vehicles in France in total in 2025, against 500,000 in 2020"
, details Luciano Biondo, the boss of ElectriCity.
This means that more than 70% of vehicles manufactured in France will be 100% electric within four years.
The diamond brand is taking the opportunity to create a whole ecosystem around this type of engine, with gearboxes in Ruitz, engines in Cléon (Seine-Maritime), but also an offer focused on recycling, in particular batteries, in Flins (Yvelines).
