Carefree summer vacation, that's what many Germans long for.

The first vacation has started in the federal states and we can see from the booking situation that many families are booking their summer vacation now in particular.

The summer vacation does not seem really carefree this year either.
The corona pandemic is not over, the delta variant is spreading.
In the Balearic Islands, for example, the seven-day incidence is currently 94, among other things because of a mass infection of Spanish schoolchildren on high school trips.
Last week, British tourists were able to fly to Mallorca without a test requirement - Magaluf, the British shooter, filled up in no time at all.
The delta variant is very widespread in Great Britain.

Very good, I am very happy, very happy.

Much better than at home.
There are 3 degrees and it is raining.

It's very cold and boring there.
It's good that everything is open again here and that we can drink beer.
«
What makes the British happy, worries many Germans.
Should Spain be declared a virus variant area, it would mean 14 days of quarantine after the journey home.
This is probably one of the reasons why more Germans than usual play safe when planning a trip.

We are seeing a significant increase in bookings for package tours because they offer significantly better legal protection.
Many organizers have included flexible rebooking and cancellation conditions as well as Covid coverage, ie additional hospital costs or accommodation costs for quarantine are covered in the event of illness.
«
Since last Friday, the British have only come to the Balearic Islands with a negative PCR test.
By the way, Germans don't need this.
At least not yet.
Because the delta variant is also spreading in Germany.
Jens Spahn, Federal Minister of Health - July 2, 2021

Delta will soon also be the dominant variant in Germany.
I assume that we will see in July that Delta also accounts for over 70, 80 percent of the infections that occur in our country.
«
One consequence of this development could be that the UK and Portugal will soon no longer be classified as virus variant areas - and Spain will not even be classified.
