The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection has determined the tariff for transporting people by public means of transport operating between the various governorate centers and not covered by the investment law, the kilometer tariff for passenger transport companies operating between the provinces and licensed on the investment law, and the percentage increase in the kilometer tariff for various means of transportation operating on diesel based on its decision to amend the price of a liter Diesel to become 500 pounds instead of 180 pounds.
According to a circular by the ministry, SANA received a copy of it. The ministry asked its directorates in the governorates to approve the percentage increase in the kilometer tariff for various means of transportation operating on diesel, which amounted to 28.5 percent for service 9-14 passengers, 27.6% for microbus with 25 passengers, Pullman buses, air-conditioned semi-Pulman buses, 30-40 passengers, and Pullman microbus. And the Pullman semi-conditioned 24 passengers, for regular buses, regular mini-buses, hop-hop, and Pullman buses for investment companies, and 32 percent for cargo trucks and tanks.
The tariff for the Pullman bus for businessmen 30-37 passengers was 19.63 lira per 1 kilometer per passenger, and for the Pullman bus for 24 passengers, it was 17.1 lira per 1 kilometer per passenger.
The ministry stressed the obligation of transport companies to the new tariff and to announce it clearly and explicitly within the ticket offices, considering it a maximum that cannot be exceeded, with the possibility of reducing it on all the lines that the companies’ polling stations operate on, and determining the fare of one passenger within their poles in light of the duly approved kilometer distance.
The ministry set the tariff for transporting a ton-kilometre of diesel between all shipping centers and distribution centers at 25.22 pounds for the first fifty kilometers, 24.12 pounds for the second fifty kilometers, 21.71 pounds for the third fifty kilometers, and 20.42 pounds for the rest of the distance traveled.
It also specified the rates of increase in the tariff for transporting liquid asphalt of all kinds, fuel, gasoline, kerosene, kerosene oil (ordinary kerosene) and other materials that are transported by tanker cars, such as molasses, white and blue alcohol, and vegetable oils.
In addition, the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment requested the governors to take decisions regarding the pricing of internal transport lines within the governorate based on circulars issued by the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, to monitor the commitment of mass transport modes to the lines and their adherence to the approved prices, to raise the pace of work and to motivate workers in the internal public transport sector to meet the needs according to the available possibilities. .
