Sanofi announced on Tuesday August 3 the purchase for $ 3.2 billion of the American Translate Bio, specialist in messenger RNA, an innovative technology used in particular in anti-Covid 19 vaccines and in which the French pharmaceutical giant wants accelerate its development.

Sanofi will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Translate Bio (in) a cash transaction valued at approximately $ 3.2 billion
," or some 2.7 billion euros, said in a statement on French group, which already works closely with Translate.
