After two record years, apprenticeship continues its very good momentum in 2021.
The first figures sent to the Ministry of Labor even suggest a new surge in this type of work-study training open to young people aged 16 to 29.
Between January and April, the number of contracts concluded rose to 50,000.
A real jump compared to some 17,000 signatures recorded over this same period in 2020 and 12,000 in 2019. Apprenticeship entries in the first quarter have thus been multiplied by three in the space of one year and even by four compared to two years back.
"We do not want to sell the skin of the bear, but these figures augur very good momentum and a good comeback"
, breathes the entourage of the Minister of Labor, Élisabeth Borne.
