The Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, in cooperation with the governorate of Damascus, has completed its preparations to launch the “Made in Syria Summer 2021” festival tomorrow in the old exhibition city in Damascus, with the participation of about 200 companies.
Member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Head of the Festival’s Organizing Committee, Talal Qala Ji, explained in a statement to SANA that the festival extends over an area of 20,000 square meters, during which companies offer their products of various commodities and materials at acceptable prices aimed at alleviating the economic burdens on citizens in terms of price and quality, pointing out that the focus In the products, it will be on stationery, school clothes, bags and everything related to school supplies due to the approaching date of the opening of the new school year, in addition to foodstuffs.
Qala Ji pointed to the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform in the festival through the products of rural women and the General Poultry Corporation, in addition to the participation of the Syrian Trading Corporation, which will provide various materials such as water, chicken, meat, vegetables, bread and stationery, as well as private sector companies, which creates competition in reducing prices for the benefit of consumers.
The festival will continue until the 25th of next September, and the Damascus governorate has worked to prepare the space allocated for the festival and the necessary infrastructure, in addition to cleaning the course of the Barada River opposite the exhibition.
