The discounter Lidl is recalling a number of cannabis products and a hemp oil due to increased THC content.
Consumption of these foods could have undesirable health consequences, such as mood swings and fatigue, warned Lidl.
Customers should pay attention to the recall and stop using the products.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a psychoactive substance found in plants belonging to the hemp genus (cannabis).
The main part of the intoxicating effect is attributed to the THC.
Lidl recalled Chocolate, Classic, Cranberry and Hash hemp biscuits, which are sold under the name Mary & Juana.
Consumers should also not consume the cannabis tea "Tea of mind" and the bar "Raw Cannabis Protein Bar Apple", all from the Czech manufacturer Euphoria Trade.
The cold-pressed "Vita D'or Organic Hemp Oil" comes from the manufacturer P. Brändle.
The groceries can be returned in all Lidl branches.
The purchase price will be refunded, even without presenting the receipt.
Lidl in Germany apologized to all concerned for the inconvenience.
