In an industrial area of Évry-Courcouronnes (91), the boss of a company found his company ransacked after eight months of squatting.
Nearly 250 Roma illegally occupied its premises for eight months, reports Le Parisien-Today-en-France.
They turned it into a "slum": a wreckage of a car with flat tires, strollers, clothes, box springs and boxes of food lie in the yard.

The hangar is infested with rats.
The carpet, several doors and the electric cables are gone.
"
Heat diffusers had been installed, they were all torn off, just like the lamps and the electrical cabinets,
" laments Eric Pineau, in his sixties, boss of SPMS, a family company run by his 87-year-old father, and specializing in the construction of automobile engines.
The walls that had just been repainted were tagged.

The owner had just spent several tens of thousands of euros to refurbish the premises that were to be sold.
"
We thought to offer them at 1.8 million euros but in this state, it would rather be 800,000 euros,
" says Eric Pineau.
Not to mention 100,000 euros for refurbishment and the defrayal of security guards.
Because the Roma were finally deported, but the boss of SPMS expected them to come back to "
collect business
".

Justice also ordered the squatters to pay 5,000 euros per month squatted, but they are not solvent.
At the suggestion of social assistance, two Roma families were relocated.
With the new “anti-squat” law which allows squatters to be evicted in 72 hours maximum, 77% of owners have recovered their homes, according to the government.
