Director of Companies at the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Ilham Shehadeh confirmed that the number of individual companies registered during the first half of this year is 5596, an increase of 44 percent over the first half of last year.
Shehadeh indicated in a statement to SANA representative that the number of joint liability companies registered in the same period amounted to 487, an increase of 55 percent over last year, and the number of partnership companies reached 83, an increase of 59 percent.
Shehadeh indicated that the number of registered joint stock companies is 12 and the registered limited liability companies are 334, an increase of 32 percent over the same period last year.
