This Monday starts a new edition of Electrofest, an event that allows you to buy technology items and household appliances with discounts of up to 40% and up to 18 interest-free installments, organized by the main retail chains in Argentina.
This is the sixth edition of the event that begins this Monday and will run until Wednesday, September 1 and
which can be accessed both in person and online or by phone
to a wide variety of products that can be consulted at www.electrofest.com. ar.
The offers will be found in categories such as
LED TV, cell phone, air conditioners, computers and appliances
, among others.
In this edition, Cetrogar, Frávega, Musimundo, Megatone, Naldo and Pardo will be participating companies, and Casa del Audio, Coppel and Hendel will join.

Home appliance sales were
not affected by the
coronavirus
pandemic
like other sectors.
This was explained by the higher consumption of this type of item within the home, where the population had to spend much more time than usual in quarantine.
According to the latest data released by the INDEC, the turnover for the sale of household appliances
amounted to $ 63,397 million at the end of the second quarter
.
This implied an
increase of 84%
in relation to the same period last year.

The ElecroFest, which originated in 2019, emerged as a collective effort of the sector.
The first edition of 2021 took place in March of this year and registered increases of up to 120%
in sales, with a marked growth in operations through the e-commerce channel.
During the first half of 2021,
844.27 televisions
were sold
, 7% more
than in the same period last year
but 5% less than in 2019.
Meanwhile, 296,436 sold
air conditioners, 5% more than in 2020 but down from 2019 was 33%
according to data of GFK and Afarte (Association of Argentine terminals Electronics) .

The items with the highest sales volume in 2020 were: Cell phones, with 525,094 units (+ 39.3%);
Small electrical appliances, with 492,289 units (+ 7.6%);
Televisions, with 246,532 units (+ 3.6%);
Fans, with 226,091 units (-16.4%);
Air conditioning equipment, with 148,960 units;
and Refrigerators with and without freezers, with 116,951 units (-7.3%).
Behind they were followed by: Washing machines, with 95,387 units (+ 18.6%);
Printers and scanners, with 80,428 units (+ 31.1%);
Water heaters and hot water tanks, with 78,471 units (+ 19.4%);
and Computers (PC, notebook, all in one, etc), with 71,303 units (+ 57.6%).
