Greece will revise its growth forecast for this year upwards to 5.9% from 3.6%, after a better-than-expected second quarter, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Saturday.
“I am able to announce a revised growth target of 5.9%,” Mitsotakis said, in a speech at the Thessaloniki International Fair.

In the second quarter, despite partial containment measures, the Greek economy grew by 3.4% compared to the first quarter and 16.2% year on year, a better than expected performance, according to published statistics Start of the week.
