The French economy is on a good dynamic.
According to the latest economic report from the Banque de France on Monday, France's GDP growth will reach 6.3% in 2021. It thus exceeds the government's 6% forecast, whereas until now, the central bank was betting on a growth of 5.75%.
A liveliness that can be found in temporary employment.
According to the Prism'emploi barometer, which includes data from the main players in the sector, 150,000 full-time positions have been created since the start of the year, an increase of 21.2% compared to 2020 for the same period, as revealed by RTL.
Last year, 185,000 temporary jobs out of the 824,000 due to the events linked to the pandemic were cut.
According to the authors of the barometer, France has its 2017 level in this area.
Limited increase in industry, construction or catering
This indicator, which anticipates the evolution of the labor market in the coming months, is enjoying popularity, particularly in the logistics and e-commerce sectors.
There, demand for temporary workers increased by 11.4%.
On the other hand, demands in the industrial, construction and catering sectors are more limited.
Several explanations: the restoration which lacks of hands with the resumption of the activity seeks to hire directly employees in CDI. In addition, in industries, companies have had the opportunity to benefit from government aid so as not to lay off staff during the various confinements with partial unemployment measures supported by the State. So, to a certain extent, the workforce already present returned when the factories reopened. In addition, in the construction industry, activity fell by 6.3% in the first half of 2021 compared to the first half of 2019.
This restart of the interim is not uniform across the territory. Temporary employment is not spreading evenly across the country. The increase is 2.6% in Pays de la Loire compared to 2019, 2% Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur (+ 2%) or 1.4% in New Aquitaine. Conversely, Île-de-France has seen its figures drop by 14.4% over two years.
