To recover the economy, one of the variables that influenced the negative result of the Frente de Todos in Las Paso, Claudio Lozano, director of Banco Nación, suggested this Tuesday the
creation of "a currency that is
not convertible to foreign currency."
"Why don't we rehearse the discussion of a non-convertible currency to hard currency, to
finance social policy and the recovery
of the population's consumption capacity," said the leader of the Popular Unity party, which is part of the governing coalition .
In an interview he gave to C5N, he explained that, according to his idea, it would be "a currency that has all the functions, except
that it cannot be exchanged for a dollar
."
"If you combine this with better exchange regulations and a different discussion of the price system, we can have a different discussion of economic recovery," he argued.
Previously, in that sense, Lozano stated that it is vital "to discuss the issue of exchange regulations more seriously."
“It cannot just be a financial alchemy of buying and selling bonds, where I also spend reserves.

Lozano also stated that the economy could not finish reviving due to "the
government's failure
to stop the price makers."
As he pointed out, this deficit "changed the sign of the reactivation and did not allow to lessen the impact produced by the pandemic in terms of the escalation of poverty to 47 percent."
"Economic activity was rebuilt with respect to the well, but with activity levels even higher than the pre-pandemic,
