Oil prices rose today with declining inventories and a positive demand outlook.

Reuters reported that Brent crude rose 49 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $74.09.

US West Texas Intermediate crude rose 48 cents, or 0.7 percent, to $70.94 a barrel.
