Irish airline Ryanair has announced plans to hire 5,000 more people in Europe over the next five years.
The company, which has just inaugurated in Dublin, a new training center provides for these recruitments, in particular with cabin crew.
While the aviation sector has been strongly impacted by the Covid epidemic, Ryanair is counting on a strong recovery.
The low-cost company has revised upwards its traffic forecast for the fall, in a context of "very strong recovery" in European short-haul flights.
Europe's leading low-cost airline now expects to carry 10.5 million passengers per month in September, October and November.
Ryanair passenger numbers set to rise to 200 million
The group's flight capacity is even expected to return to pre-pandemic activity levels in October.
However, Ryanair should nevertheless fly this winter with an average of 15% to 20% of empty seats in its aircraft, against 7% to 8% before the health crisis.
In the longer term, the number of passengers of the company is expected to increase to 200 million per year by 2025. In 2019, before the pandemic, the company carried 149 million passengers.
The company plans to order around 200 additional aircraft.
