A plane of the American company Delta carrying 248 people from Atlanta in the United States made an emergency landing on Sunday on its arrival in Athens, according to the Greek firefighters mobilized at the airport of Eleftherios Venizelos in the capital.
Initial reports indicated that the aircraft's brake system, an Airbus A333, was having problems.

The pilot on Sunday asked the Athens airport control tower to land urgently as it flew over the Greek island of Aegina near the Greek capital.
Emergency medical services and firefighters said they were present at Athens airport to assist passengers.
But no injured have so far been taken care of.
