With 5,311 insolvency proceedings opened in the third quarter, bankruptcies are down 20.8% compared to the same period in 2020, according to figures released on Monday by Altares.
Thus, less than 17,500 jobs were threatened during these three summer months, while they were 26,600 in the third quarter of 2020.

Over one year, the trend is also favorable: 28,000 insolvencies were declared at the end of September, against 37,400 a year earlier.
There are half as many judgments today than before the coronavirus crisis.
If it is the very small businesses which concentrate more than nine procedures out of ten, they however record a decrease in the number of failures of 21% compared to the summer of 2020.
