Stellantis passes the fifth in the electric.
The group resulting from the merger between PSA (Peugeot, Citroën…) and FCA (Fiat, Chrysler…) will open a battery factory in North America in partnership with the South Korean industrialist LG.
This “gigafactory” with an
“annual production capacity of 40 GWh”
, according to Stellantis, will enter service in the first quarter of 2024. The batteries that will leave this site will be delivered to the group's car assembly plants in the United States, in Canada and Mexico.
