Crude oil prices fell after a Chinese statement regarding the release of its reserves of petroleum products.
Both Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate crude fell 0.2 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, after their rise last Friday, after the National Administration of Food and Strategic Reserves in China announced the release of gasoline and diesel reserves to increase supply in the market and achieve price stability.
