The Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KV) in Thuringia celebrated the closure of the vaccination center in Erfurt with an exquisite party.
In addition to a lavish range of food and drinks, the entertainment of the guests was not too sloppy.
One of the booked show acts was the artist Jan Delay.
The total costs for the evening, including artist fees and catering, amounted to around 195,000 euros.
KV did not want to disclose how much money was accounted for by delay alone - it had been agreed "as is customary in the industry, not to disclose".
Insiders assume a medium to high five-digit amount as a fee for such an appearance.
High incidence of corona at the venue
The general conditions for the celebration (motto: "Thanks for vaccinating") were difficult: The seven-day incidence of corona infections in Erfurt was over 250. The KV says that they had "consistently implemented 2G", and there was also a test option.
The event made it possible to show that with a vaccination normality is possible again.
In addition to employees from vaccination centers, Bundeswehr soldiers, parliamentary group chairmen, members of the state parliament and mayors, Thuringia's Minister of Health Heike Werner (Die Linke) was also present.
The statutory health insurance associations are financed from a portion of the statutory fees paid to the doctors.
They are among the most important institutions in health care.
