The French unicorn, which already equips a quarter of caregivers with its software, is launching an offer called "Doctolib Hôpital".

The young company, created in 2013 by Stanislas Niox-Chateau, is not completely new to this market, which it opened up in 2015. It already has 250 public hospitals among its customers, at the top of which are the AP-HP (Paris) and AP-HM (Marseille).

With this new offer, Doctolib goes beyond the traditional services it already offered (online appointment booking, teleconsultation, etc.) by integrating new options: online pre-admission of patients, sending SMS to refer them in the hospital, setting up a secure messaging system between patients and doctors, sending the medical report to a colleague in town, etc.

"

With the launch of this offer, the idea is to make life easier for doctors and health personnel, and to allow better coordination between the hospital and town medicine

," explains Stanislas Niox-Château, who intends to invest 150 million euros in this product over the next five years.

A hospital that uses Doctolib generates 5 to 10% additional turnover.

"

With this solution, which will cost around 50,000 euros per year for a medium-sized hospital, the unicorn hopes to attract up to 900 establishments, or ten per month.

Around one hundred employees are dedicated to the hospital market at Doctolib.

"

If the Covid has delayed the launch of this offer by one year, it has made hospitals aware of the importance of digital technology

", estimates the boss of Doctolib, who aims for profitability for his company within three at four years old.

The visibility of Doctolib since the start of the vaccination campaign should make its task easier.
