The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Damascus set the price of one kilogram of cheese and milk.
And the cheese and dairy price bulletin, a copy of which SANA has received, stated that it sets the maximum price per kilogram of full-fat cow milk at 1,600 pounds, full-fat yoghurt at 2,000 pounds, filtered full-fat cow milk at 7000 pounds, filtered medium-fat cow milk at 6000 pounds, and cow cheese Full fat for 9500 SYP and medium fat cow cheese for 8200 SYP.
According to the bulletin, these prices are valid from this morning until the issuance of the new bulletin, and sellers must announce the prices clearly and in accordance with the regulations and laws, pointing out that violators of this bulletin are subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law.
The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection the day before yesterday suspended work on the pricing of milk and cheese issued by the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Damascus and instructed those concerned to audit and re-examine the costs accurately due to the unjustified high prices.
