Several dozen foreigners in an irregular situation employed by DPD (parcel delivery) or other subsidiaries of La Poste began a strike on Monday in Coudray-Montceaux (Essonne), in the hope of being regularized, a-t- we learned Monday from unions.

The strikers denounced in a press release a form of "
abuse (...) organized by the Post Office through a cascade of subcontracting
".
They point out in particular errors on the payslips, unpaid hours and "
inhuman working conditions
" according to them with "
15 minutes for unloading a truck
".
La Poste, requested, did not immediately comment.
A meeting with the strikers planned
The sorting platform where these striking employees work in Essonne, south of Paris, "
is far from everything,
" commented Christian Schweyer, member of the collective of undocumented workers of Vitry, to AFP. "
Some are forced to walk for an hour to reach Corbeil-Essonnes, then take two night buses
" to return home. The temp company employing the strikers was to meet them, according to Christian Schweyer.
Undocumented migrants demand the regularization of their administrative situation.
For Catherine Fayet, secretary of the Solidaires 91 union, responsibilities are shared: "
La Poste and the temporary employment agencies subcontract (...) a workforce that they find easily and that they can use
" .

At the end of October, more than 200 undocumented workers had started a strike movement coordinated by the CGT, on at least eleven sites in Île-de-France, to obtain their regularization.
