The Telekom subsidiary T-Systems has confirmed a possible sale.
“We have growth plans.
But we are also examining other options, "said a T-Systems spokesman.
The "manager magazin" had previously reported that the Bonn-based Dax group intends to hold initial concrete talks with potential buyers in February.
According to information from "manager magazin", a possible contract conclusion is currently expected in September.
The sensitive business for the public sector could be separated beforehand.
In April, the Telekom board of directors had emphasized that T-Systems was an integral part of the group.
T-Systems has long been the Group's problem child and is finding it difficult to return to growth despite the restructuring that has been ongoing since 2018 and the shedding of thousands of jobs.
In the third quarter, sales climbed slightly to one billion euros.
T-Systems, with around 29,000 employees, posted sales of 4.2 billion euros in 2020 and an operating loss (EBIT) of 650 million euros.
