Washington-Sana

The US Treasury announced today the imposition of new coercive economic measures on Iran, which included six Iranian individuals and an institutional entity under the pretext of "interfering in the US presidential elections."

The imposition of these unilateral measures against Iran comes within the framework of the hostile policies pursued by Washington against independent countries, which do not follow its approach.

And the media quoted the US Department as saying in a statement that the new measures affect the Iranian “Emint” company and six members of its board of directors, claiming that they “spread misleading information on social media and sent threatening electronic messages to undermine Americans’ confidence in the presidential elections” that took place in 2020.

The US Department indicated that "the property and interests of those covered by the new embargo measures will be seized within the scope of US jurisdiction, and sanctions will be imposed on external parties that conduct commercial activities with them."
